Gran Stafa, the movie is a movie which, like Gran Scala, will be a great film movie. I imagine that the best made
in Aragon since the Medieval Ages. Its inspiration comes from Gran Scala, the greatest hoax that the Aragonese people suffered from its government. As you may know, Gran Scala was a very big project to become true in Los Monegros. The Aragonese government had no problem to celebrete EXPO 2008 in Zaragoza for the good use of water and at the same time support a megaproject in the middle of the desert with 25 milions visitors each year anf golf venues. Not very ecologic, I imagine. That project was very pharaonic and we know it virtually. It was going to make Aragon not just the envy of Catalans and Madrileños but the envy of all Europe. The new Las Vegas of Europe was going to be build in Los Monegros. This wasfantastic. International promoters wanted to crete such a huge megaproject in just a place for for most people was just a place tto hot in summer and tto cold in winter. Quite funnily the government of Aragon gave coverage to these Castles in Spain by just supporting the project. So the majority of Aragonese people were quite happpy and only a few people link with Ecology ,etc were against it. Needless to say that this project was announced just before general elections in Spain.
For some weeks we know that important people behind this project have a dark past. But this not not the worse … The worse is that a democratic government does not say anything.
It is months since the land for the project shold have been bought in Los mOnegros but it seems that international project has no money available. Now the president of Aragon says that all was an idea. So Aragon has been cheated due to its greed.
Gran Stafa wants to be a film about all that. In contrast with Gran Scala, Gran Stafa is just an idea since the beginning.
